Customization
Brewhouse can be designed according to brewing process, types of beer to be produced, saccharification method, feeding amount and process requirements.

Equipment Configuration Standards

There are two main types design for the 1000L 2 Vessel brewhouse based on different brewing process, types of beer and feeding amount, including infusion mashing method and decoction brewing mashing method.

Infusion Mashing Process

  • 500kgs/h malt miller, 1000kgs/h grist auger, 1.0m3 grain case with grain hydrator. (Room Height Requirements 4m)
  • 2 Vessel combined with Mash/Lauter & Kettle/Whirlpool, mash in the lauter tank, for electric heating, adding hot water to raise the temperature; For steam heating, directly heating in the lauter tank with steam jacket.
  • Doubled sized 2000L HLT, 2000L CLT
  • 4×1000L frmenter, 2×2000L fermenter, 2×1000L bright tank
  • 10HP Glycol packed chiller with reservoir inside
  • PID/PLC control panel Separated for brewhouse and cellars
  • 100L Clean in Place cleaning system
  • Combined keg filler&washer

Decoction Mashing Process

  • Equipping with grain hydrator and grain auger, used for the method of feeding while crushing, which is suitable for factories with limited room height (3m).
  • 2 Vessel combined with Mash/Boil/Whirlpool & Lauter tun, mashing in the brew kettle and directly temperature heating up for step mashing, mash tun equips with motor and agitator.
  • Doubled batch 2000L HLT, 2000L CLT
  • 5×1000L frmenter, 1×1000L bright tank
  • 10HP Glycol packed chiller with reservoir inside
  • PID/PLC control panel Separated for brewhouse and cellars
  • 100L Clean in Place cleaning system
  • Combined keg filler&washer

Equipment Design Standards

Combined with the application of brewery equipment, Micet Group refines the equipment production process of each part. The standardized design fully considers the convenience of the brewer’s actual operation, and helps the brewery maximize production efficiency in terms of space, investment, and production capacity.

The design of mash tun and lauter tun not only consider the heating up of mashing, but also the lauter speed. It is convenient to clean and remove grains out, avoid the trouble of material clogging the pipeline, reduce labor intensity and improve brewing efficiency.

  1. Lauter tun design with steam heating jacket, which can realize multi-stage temperature raising automatically, with the rotation of the rake, the grains can be evenly heated.
  2. Milled false bottom with a gap of 0.7mm, fast and efficient lautering speed, with bolts on the bottom for easy disassembly and cleaning.
  3. Multi-directional wort collection and CIP backflush head design to make wort filtration and collection faster, and CIP cleaning more labor-saving.
  4. Rake designed with reverse rotation, speed adjustable.

Steam jackets on both side and bottom of the kettle, with separated steam inlet and outlet and controlled separately, the boiling intensity is adjustable and controllable.

The steam generated by the boiling kettle can be selected in two ways, indoor with steam condenser or outdoor with chimney, and the condensed water can be discharged separately.

Hanging type single stage heat exchanger with hot water return to HLT for recirculation, can be disassembled for cleaning.

Hops inline filter installed after whirlpool and before heat exchanger to filter the hops before going into fermenter.

Equipping with round full glass manhole and LED lights on top of the head , which can see clearly the inside of tank.

Equipping with glass balance tank and VSD controlled wort pump to avoid negative pressure under the false bottom, protect grain layer and check the wort clarity.

Optional flow meter to test the volume of mixing water before mashing after hot and cold water piping mixing.

430*530mm grain out door with removal dustpan in mash/lauter tun.

The brewhouse pipeline and valves are neatly designed and easy to operate. Pipeline adopts TIG full welding and double-sided forming process. The welds are perfect without sanitary dead angle.

The platform and steps are anti-skid design and water leaking, which is easy to clean.

VSD controlled pumps with ABB motor and emergency stop through control panel.

Wort recirculating during mash with sightglass on piping to check the wort clarity.

Equipment Capacity Analysis

Based on 1000L 2 Vessel Brewhouse

When choosing to start a new brewery project, you firstly need to consider the output of the brewery capacity, which is determined by the equipment configuration, and also future expansion plan with the market growth.

Production calculation: based on 300 days/year
Fermentation period: 3 Weeks
Mashing process:
53℃ (30min→) 65℃ (60min→) 72℃ (10min→) 78℃
Lautering time: 90min
Boiling time: 60min
Whirlpool time: 30min
Heating up speed: 1℃/min
Exchanging time: 40min

The total feeding time of 2 batches: 11 hours, calculated according to the overall time.

Below are several output reference and space needed according to the amount of FV & BBT.

Premise Site Condition

Micet Brewery Layout

For bars and microbrewery with taprooms. Customers can directly see the brewing equipment and process while drinking.

Beer production factory should be built in areas with high terrain and sufficient water sources. There should be a green belt in the factory area, and there should be a good drainage system and waste gas treatment system.

On-site power requirements: 3-phase power supply, steam heating can be considered if there is a gas connection on site, the total power needs to meet 25-30KW, the consumption of LNG is 8m3/h, and the consumption of LP is 6.6kg/h; If you prefer electric heating, the total power of the site needs to meet 90-100KW.

Minimum Room Height: 4m
On-site Water Pipe: 32/38mm
Water Pressure: 0.1Mpa/1 Bar
